You may have noticed that the title of the blog is Jemma Eat World. Although I could probably chomp my way around the globe just by staying in Edinburgh (huge number of nationalities here, and each one has set up a restaurant), and although I chose the blog title because it sounded snappy and not because I’m ready to follow in the footsteps of Simon Majumdar quite yet, I thought it would be misleading not to write about my experiences in other countries (or even cities).
Again, I work full time so sadly I probably won’t be going anywhere too exotic in the near future as I have responsibilities and all that jazz but I do love travelling, and I’m always looking for my next adventure. I have a few buddies currently schlepping around the world so who knows, maybe if I’m extra nice they’ll write me a guest post *hint hint*
As the blog is still a work in progress, I’ll link to the posts once I get them up.

Hi Jemma. Have really enjoyed reading some of your comments, paricularly about ‘Origano’ (Italian spelling for the herb!). It surely is the best pizza in town (it also happens to be my brother-in-law’s restaurant so I am proud to declare an interest!) My restaurant is one of the few remaining Spanish options in Edinburgh – and, I believe, the only one which can claim to have a Spanish owner, depite Edinburgh having such a substantial Spanish community. We’re in Portobello – Malvarosa – don’t know if you’ve heard of it yet but, if you enjoy eating tapas and taking in the fresh sea air, maybe you’d like to come and see what you think?
Saludos, Alvaro
Hi Alvaro, thanks very much for commenting! Your brother in law certainly makes a mean pizza
I’ll have to pop down to Portobello to try Malvarosa out; I’m not often down that side of town but I’ll happily go out of my way for tasty tapas! See you soon I hope!
